A Journey to the Heart

Unveiling Your True Self

Friday 25th to Sunday 27th July 2025

Knox College,

Opoho, Dunedin, New Zealand

I invite you to join me on a journey to explore the patterns that shape your life's path. This transformative 3-day workshop offers you the chance to explore what's been holding you back from deep connection with yourself and the universe around you.

At the core of this journey lies a beautiful opportunity to truly understand your patterns. The patterns that silently guide your choices, reactions, and the ways you connect with others. Some of these patterns frustrate you - you are unable to escape their grip. Others, you are oblivious to but feel their effects in your life.

In this workshop, we will gently examine these patterns with compassion, helping them to resolve. We will delve deep into our patterns of the heart, uncovering the heart’s deep desire for genuine connection with others, enveloped in trust, openness, love, gratitude, and respect. We will find pathways to resolve deep hurts and embrace forgiveness, cultivating a profound love for ourselves that naturally extends to everyone in the world.

Join us on this wonderful journey to the heart. Together, we will unveil our true selves.

We will help our hearts blossom and feel safe.

This workshop is for people who have some experience in Ren Xue. You will need to have done the 1st and 2nd moving methods, Tian Yuan and Di Yuan. Also, you will need to have done a little Ling Yuan, the method for resolving patterns, prior to the workshop. If you have done some Ling Yuan at Yuan Tze's retreats, learnt Ling Yuan from me or another Ren Xue teacher this will be fine.

If you haven't done any Ling Yuan you can learn it from my Discover Your True You online workshop, at the Changing Patterns workshop in Dunedin, or the Ren Xue of the Americas online course.

If you would like to do the workshop but are concerned you may not have enough experience, please contact us and we can discuss whether it will suit you (including ways to get the experience needed before the workshop).

Detailed Information

ABout Fiona

Fiona McLaughlin, your teacher for the workshop, first discovered Ren Xue Qigong when she was suffering from a life-threatening chronic illness and diagnosed with two years to live.

Through Ren Xue, she regained her vitality and health. She learned a new way of being, to live in a relaxed and calm state, in harmony with others and the world.

Inspired by what Ren Xue can offer, she now guides others on the Ren Xue path of growth and wisdom.

She helps people live a life where they are no longer swept away by their damaging feelings and thoughts, so they can experience the world with complete trust, openness, love, gratitude and deep respect.

About Ren Xue

Ren Xue is a wisdom system developed to help practitioners achieve greater health, happiness, sense of wellbeing, and realization and wisdom. It helps us find inner harmony through practices that elevate body, heart, and consciousness, which in turn helps us create outer harmony – in our personal relationships, with society, and with nature.

Ren Xue includes two subsystems – Yuan Gong and Yuan Ming and includes innovative Qigong (Chi gong) methods. The practice includes gentle movements, meditation, and breathing techniques, that enable self-healing to bring positive changes to health and life.

Ren Xue was developed by renown teacher Yuan Tze, drawing on his deep level of understanding and practice in a range of traditions, especially Daoism, Confucianism, Buddhism, Qigong, Traditional Chinese Medicine, martial arts and Tai Chi.
